OUR STORY

Culture, carried forward.

Yoruba Woman is a contemporary cultural brand founded by Péju Alawusa.

Rooted in my personal connection to Yoruba culture, the brand began with a simple belief: the stories, symbols, language, and artistry we inherit deserve to be carried forward with care.

Each collection translates a cultural idea into something contemporary and wearable. The goal is not to turn heritage into a trend, but to create thoughtful objects that invite curiosity, recognition, and pride.

THE FOUNDER

A personal connection, made visible.

For me, Yoruba culture is not an aesthetic reference. It is memory, identity, family, language, ceremony, and the confidence of knowing where you come from.

Yoruba Woman is my way of honoring that inheritance while making room for new interpretations.
